A timeless silhouette
The Vans Old Skool is a timeless silhouette. First released in 1977 as a skate shoe, the sneaker has become an icon over the years. The leather panels made the sneaker last a lot longer at the time. The popular “jazz stripe” on the side of the sneaker started as a random sketch by Paul van Doren, but has become an indispensable feature of the Vans Old Skool. Now Vans is releasing two refreshing colorways, including the classic checkerboard colorway and a new burgundy color.
