BOSS Meets: ZEDZ for the New Balance 850 YSC

BOSS Meets: ZEDZ for the New Balance 850 YSC

Together with New Balance, we contacted legendary graffiti artist and robot engineer Zedz to create something unique for the release of the new colorways of the New Balance 850 YSC.

New Balance brings back the classic 850 with a modern touch, a minimalist silhouette that was introduced in 1996. The upper has a mix of suede, synthetic fabrics and breathable mesh. The sneaker has reflective details on the heel and toe and a quick-lacing system that can be locked for quick and safe tightening of the laces. The midsole features signature ABZORB technology under the heel and ROLLBAR TPU support under the toe for ultimate stability.

Zedz (whose real name is Ronald van der Voet) is a graffiti artist, a graphic designer, a professional artist and a robot engineer. He has been spraying graffiti since 1986 and is also considered a legend when it comes to his graffiti art. After Zedz graduated from college and sprayed graffiti in public places for a number of years, he started studying at the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam and graduated in 1998. His works can best be described as crosses between graffiti and his dimensional environment.

By participating in the draw for this sneaker, you agree to an automatic payment if you are one of the 40 lucky ones to win the draw. These sneakers come with an original numbered screen print of Zedz's artwork in the colors of this colorway. So don't forget to register for the draw!

These New Balance 850 YSCs will be available at SneakerBAAS on February 1, 2020 at 12:00 AM!
